RCMP and Kitimat Search and Rescue are searching for a missing boater.
Officials say the search began after the 39-year-old man, believed to be from Alberta, was thrown into the water as his inflatable boat capsized Saturday.
Few details have been released, but RCMP are advising boaters that it is not safe to launch of the 18 Mile Bridge site into the Kitimat River.
Police are also reminding boaters to always use their life jackets when going out on the water.
