A man wanted for a hit and run incident in Kitimat last month is now in custody.
Kitimat RCMP report 29-year-old Tyson Johnston of Kitimat was taken into custody on June 5th.
He’s facing a number of charges in relation to an incident on May 19th in which a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the parking lot of several businesses in the Nechako area of Kitimat.
The victim was treated and released from hospital, and police say the victim and Johnston knew each other.
Johnston has been charged with Aggravated Assault, two counts of Assault With a Weapon, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Bodily Harm, and Fail to Stop at Scene of Accident Involving Bodily Harm.
