Come August 15th, the Lester Centre of the Arts in Prince Rupert will have a new General Manager for the first time since 2006.
Micheal Gurney will take over the role for a retiring Crystal Lorette following a 3 month process.
Gurney has been a resident of Prince Rupert since 2011 when he served as Communications Manager for the Port of Prince Rupert, and has been regularly involved in theatre and musical productions.
A 2014 collaboration with Peter Witherly spearheaded by Gurney brought an emphatic production of Les Miserable to the Centre.
Gurney will take the reigns on August 15th, looking to bring an invigorating new look to the Centre.
