Lheidli T’enneh First Nation now has fire protection

A First Nation in the Prince George area now has at least partial fire protection coverage after an historic agreement was signed this morning.

The five-year agreement between the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation and the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George covers 17 structures on the First Nation’s south side.

The deal – about 20 years in the making – is worth just under 40-thousand dollars.

The north side of the First Nation is still not covered by any fire service.
