The Lheidli T’enneh First Nations look to finally get a new treaty in the books next month.
The Nation already turned down a 2006 agreement with the federal and provincial governments, with members sighting poor timing and a lack of information.
The newest treaty includes 43 square kilometres of land, and 37 million dollars in immediate funding, to go along with on-going funding.
Chief Dominic Frederick hopes the deal gets signed, but admits that reconciliation is a process and the work is on-going.
