The Cariboo Fire Centre is expecting to respond to plenty of new fires.
Officials recorded over a thousand lightning strikes in a 24 hour period awith more lightning expected today (Tuesday) and into this evening.
Crews are responding to 15 new wildfires, including the small but highly visible Mission Road fire 8 km south of WilliamsLake.
The fire is lightning caused and just under a half hectare in size.
Airtankers have blanketed the fire, helicopters are responding to assist ground crews, and heavy equipment is en route.
