The BC Wildfire Service says lightning strikes caused over 100 new fire starts Wednesday.
Storms over much of north central B.C. caused clusters of wildfires in the Northwest, Prince George, and Cariboo Fire Centre areas
While most were small, one wildfire west of Burns Lake grew to 90 hectares by Wednesday afternoon and was visible from Highway 16 and nearby communities.
