After much speculation and uncertainty, the prospect of an LNG plant coming to Kitimat this year is becoming more likely.
Andy Calitz, Chief Esecutive of LNG Canada, reaffirmed their commitment to starting construction on the proposed 40 billion dollar project this year.
An anti-dumping issue with the Canadian Finance Ministry and a trade issue over imported steel components was looking to delay the project, but according to Calitz, is no longer an issue.
TransCanada Corp will be performing the construction.
