Despite a swirl of rumours lately surrounding their proposed Kitimat project, LNG Canada are reiterating that they have not yet received a final investment decision.
Rumours began to fly after a Bloomberg report from yesterday stated that all 5 of the project’s investors had approved the project.
This report was clarified in a statement by PetroChina communication lead Kristi Baron, who says three of the Joint Venture partners have not yet approved the decision.
According to Baron, Malaysia’s Petronas, Royal Dutch Shell, and Mitsubishi Corp have yet to issue their approval for the project.
