LNG Canada says it welcomes new B.C. Government measures that it says will remove barriers to the liquefied natural gas export industry in the province.
The framework, announced by the province Thursday, will provide a tax break in terms of PST, but will also make LNG projects subject to new greenhouse gas emission standards set out in the budget
LNG Canada says it’s export facility is designed to have the lowest carbon intensity of any large LNG project in the world.
The company says measures announced Thursday will be an important part of a competitive proposal for its Joint Venture Participants’ decision-making.
A final investment decision is expected sometime this year.
