If you don’t lock up your vehicle this weekend, Terrace RCMP might just have some paperwork for you.
Officers and Auxiliaries will be combing store parking lots this Sunday in search of unlocked vehicles, particularly ones with valuables inside.
Volunteers with the Lock Out Auto Crime initiative will be leaving crime prevention notices on windshields, either thanking owners for keeping their vehicle secure or providing auto crime prevention tips.
The program, supported by ICBC, is to draw attention to the high rate of thefts from vehicles.
