Long Weekend Plans and the Incredible Blue Band

Another Victoria Day long weekend.  The first camping weekend of the year, the weekend where all the parks are finally open for campers, tenters and RV’s alike.  Are you camping this weekend?

My long weekend plans include working.  Between CFNR and my work at the restaurant, I’m a busy gal.  My hubby has even beat me to camping…..twice already this year. My steson Jordan is in Cubs and the kids had two back-to-back camping trips the last two weekends.  I was definitely jealous at first, but as I lay diagonal across our queen-sized Temper-Pedic for two nights straight, that went away real quick. 😉

I’m not too upset I’m not camping but my friends are…I know where their campsites are when I’m ready for my toasted marshmallows!

Speaking of camping, Tim Hortons camp Day is coming up June 1.  Have you got your blue bracelet yet? or your purple one? Or even your orange or green?  These bands are the newest fundraiser for Camp Day, at $2.00 a bracelet you can rest assured your money and support will go directly to help a kid go to camp who otherwise wouldn’t get the chance to go.  I was a Tim Hortons Kids Camp child when I was younger.  The experience definitely changed my life.  I got to meet tons of friends, some of them I still speak with today.  You can make a difference just like someone did for me.  And don’t forget, when you buy a coffee that day, 100% of the coffee proceeds go to camp as well…so whether you want the kick of caffeine or the hardware to show off your support, every dollar spent that day makes a difference!!!!
