Quesnel RCMP say one man is in custody following a robbery in the west end of the city.
Police say it happened Tuesday around 11:30pm when the suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and demanded money.
The driver then provided the suspect with a small mount of cash. The victim was then forced to bring the suspect to an other location where he then left the vehicle.
Staff Sergeant Andrew Burton says the driver of the vehicle contacted police who then found the suspect and arrested him without incident.
Mounties say the driver was shaken by the ordeal and was not injured.
Police say a 48-year-old Quesnel man is facing charges including armed robbery and forcible confinement.
