The City of Prince Rupert has fenced off McClymont park to foot traffic to allow for some emergency repairs.
City crews found a discharge from a line during an inspection of sewer infrastructure in the park.
Broadwater Industries has been called in to make repairs, but the work will be done by hand and small tools to protect the surrounding environment. The city says that could delay works.
The city says it hopes to finish repairs as soon as possible, but the park is fenced off for the time being.
