A pedestrian overpass to cross the train tracks in Terrace is a key recommendation for council to consider for their Transpiration Master Plan.
Consulting firm McElhanney conducted a several long month study to highlight some of the problematic areas in Terrace.
McElhanney’s Glenn Stanker says factors like locations and costs for the overpass are items council will have to discuss carefully.
Other recommendations include widening roads and improving intersections such as Keith and Kenney.
He says the master plan better layouts what areas council should prioritize when it comes to traffic flow.
City staff also outlined that funding for projects is a lot easier to get if other of levels of government can see the plan laid out.
The public can view the master plan downstairs at city hall until 6:30 this evening.
