August 10th was a hot one with temperatures hovering around 30 degrees which made it a perfect time to go pick up a Blizzard on Miracle Treat Day and Terrace residents were craving some ice cream. The total amount raised came to $29,231.10.
All proceeds from every Blizzard treat sold goes to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
The restaurant saw a steady flow of customers all day raising just under 30 thousand dollars total for the day
The owner of Dairy Queen Terrace and Kitimat William deHoog says the community was great at coming together.
Both locations saw higher numbers than last year, with Terrace making $29,231.10. just over 12 dollars more from last year.
The Kitimat location raised just over 10 thousand dollars, almost $1000 more than last year.
