Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP Nathan Cullen will be heading to the United States for a front row view of the presidential election.

Cullen along with two other MPs were invited by the U.S. State Department to observe the election and how race plays a role in the process.

He says it will allow him to see the differences and similarities of how race influences an election in both countries.

Cullen says watching the presidential race play out is very interesting and is looking forward to witnessing it first hand.

Cullen will be travelling to Washington D.C. and New Orleans, Louisiana in the days ahead of the election.

He will then travel to Cleveland, Ohio for election night. Ohio is considered an important battleground for the presidential candidates.
