Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP Nathan Cullen says work continues on a report about electoral reform.
Cullen says Prince Edward Island’s recent referendum on electoral reform shows that people want a change from the current voting system.
Even though voting turnout was low on PEI, Cullen says leaders need to stick promises they make with voters.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has recently downplayed electoral reform, but Cullen says he will do what he can to hold Trudeau accountable on his campaign promise.
The Electoral Reform committee is looking to make Parliament more reflective of how Canadians actually vote.
