The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako has expanded both the evacuation order and alert boundaries for the Nadina Lake Fire south of Houston.
The evacuation order now covers an area east of Tahtsa Forest Service Road (south Francois) to West Francois FSR and Carroll
Road and (north Francois) to Kivi FSR and 35 km on Colleymount Road. It stretches south from the Parrot FSR to Nadina FSR and Ootsa Lake.
The evacuation alert now covers the region south of Morice River Road and east of the North end of the Balsam Forest Service Road
The BC Wildfire Service says the 15,000 hectare Nadina Lake Fire has grown rapidly, taking a long run to the northeast.
The fire is now 63 km southwest of Burns Lake.
