The BC Wildfire Service says a forest fire burning northwest of Nazko is now 30 percent contained.
Officials say the wildfire, located about 90 kilometres west of Quesnel, is smaller than fire thought.
More accurate mapping indicates the blaze is closer to 300 hectares, not the original estimate of 1000 hectares.
Dozens of firefighters, a helicopter, and seven bulldozers working the fire had help with favourable weather conditions over the weekend.
If the weather stays cooperative, officials expect to have the fire fully contained by Monday.
