A New Aiyansh man has been convicted for illegal hunting and was arrested for a second time for possession of a firearm while prohibited.
Nass Valley resident William Clayton will spend 60-days under house arrest and was again ordered not to have in his possession any firearm for the next 10-years. He was ordered to hand over to the courts all firearm he now possesses.
Conservation officers say he was previously convicted in Terrace Provincial Court for moose hunting at night using a light as well as hunting during prohibited hours. At the sentencing for those offenses, the court ordered him to refrain from hunting or be in possession of a firearm for five years
