Wildfires have forced the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako to issue evacuation alerts for four new areas and an order for one.
The first is from Purvis Lake to Tchentlo Lake, and from Driftwood Forest Service Road to Leo Creek Forest Service Road.
Another alert covers the Silver Hilton Lodge and Babine River, including portions of Tomlinson Creek and Shelagyote River.
A third alert encompasses the area east of Glacier Forest Service Road to the Morice-Owen and Ootsa Nadina Service Roads, and to Andrew’s Bay and Horseshoe Hook-up Forest Service Roads.
The fourth alert effects the area between Binto Wo Forest Service Road to Holy Cross Cabin Lake Service Road, and from Paddle Hill to Francois Lake and Binta Main Forest Service Road.
The final area is under an evacuation order for the area between 43485 and 44250 Holy Cross Binta Forest Service Road.
