Improvements are on the way for early Indigenous education and child care thanks to a new collaboration between First Nations groups and the Federal Government.
The new Indigenous Learning and Child Care Framework is based off of extensive engagement meetings held between the government and Indigenous organizations in 2017.
Bringing out a strong sense of cultural identity while providing flexible and inclusive early learning are the goals of the agreement.
1.7 billion dollars is being committed to the program over the next 10 years by the Federal Government.
