63 million dollars is being made available in a fifth round of funding by the Forest Enhancement Society of BC.
The Society provides grant money to community forests , municipalities, and First Nations working on projects that improve forests on Provincial Crown lands.
Over 170 projects have been funded to the tune of more than 160 million dollars since the Society started.
This intake will feature two funding streams, with 30 million set to go towards projects that reduce carbon emissions, and 33 million to projects which prevent and mitigate wildfire impacts.
Project applications must be submitted by November 30th to be considered.
