The province has announced a 14 million dollar investment in to farming innovation.
Over the next 5 years, the new Canada- BC Agri-Innovation Program will fund projects to make the province’s farms more high-tech and competitive.
Projects the program is looking to support cover: investments in applied science for major sector commodities, improved support for emerging and transformative areas, enhanced efforts in clean growth, accelerated growth in food processing sectors, and strengthening knowledge sharing.

The program is part of the Canadian Agriculture Partnership, which will also see 3 billion dollars in investments in the industry through 2023.
