Safety and efficiency are the goals of 5 new road resurfacing projects in the Skeena and Bulkley-Stikine.
Highway 37 will see the bulk of the work with 10.6 million dollars being spent across three projects on the Highway.
Large stretches between Kitimat and the Airport, Good Hope Lake and the Yukon, and Cranberry #1 Bridge to Brown Bear Creek have all seen projects begin this week.
On top of that, Tow Hill Road on Haida Gwaii, and Highway 118 from Topley to Granisle will also see work being done.
All 5 projects are expected to be completed by the end of the fall.
