Nisga’a Elder gets thank you letter from Duke and Duchess of Cambridge

An elder from Nisga’a Nation has received a thank you letter from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for some knitted toques.

Emma Nyce says she knitted the toques for Prince William, Kate and their children, George and Charlotte, for their visit to BC in September.

The 89-year-old says she never expected to receive a reply from the Royal Family.

Emma says she still looks at the letter as often as she can.

She says this is the first time sending something to the Royal family and really appreciates that people in their position would acknowledge the work she put into them.

The letter can be found here.
