A northern BC nursing program has received national accreditation.
The Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing has recognized the Northern Collaborative Baccalaureate Nursing Program.
The program is a partnership between UNBC, the College of New Caledonia, and Northwest Community College.
UNBC School of Nursing program Chair and professor, Dr. Martha MacLeod says the accreditation recognizes the program’s quality.
MacLeod says over 1200 students have graduated from the program since it began with about 70% staying in northern BC.
The first two years of the program are delivered by CNC and NWCC, with the final two years at UNBC and is available in Terrace, Quesnel, and Prince George.
