An important partnership between Northern Health and UNBC is set to continue after the pair signed a new Memorandum of Understanding last month.
The original document was signed between the health authority and college in 2010 in order to foster a collaborative relationship between education, research, and health service delivery.
It was refreshed again in 2016 and, while the bulk of the new agreement remains the same, Northern Health CEO Cathy Ulrich says the new agreement helps to identify areas of priority.
Some of these priority areas include: primary care, home-based senior care services, mental health an wellness, and rural health services.
The refreshed Memorandum of Understanding was signed on November 1st and presented during Northern Health’s Board Meeting today.
