Northern health has announced the chair for the health authority.
Colleen Nyce, former Rio Tinto Alcan manager, has been the interim chair but was formally appointed to the position late last month. She has been a board member since 2015.
Nyce headed the communications department at the Kitimat plant for 14 years before retiring.
With a budget of $800 million, Northern Health is responsible for hospital and residential care as well as a variety of community health matters.
