Northern Health is looking to Haida Gwaii residents to find a new name for the new hospital being built in the Village of Queen Charlotte.
The current legal name of the facility is the Queen Charlotte Islands General Hospital.
Haida Gwaii/Prince Rupert Health Services Administrator Michael Melia is part of a local advisory committee that will collect name suggestions that will more accurately reflect Haida Gwaii and the communities the hospital will serve.
Melia says people interested in submitting names to the committee can fill out a form at the Northern Health website.
The six-member committee includes municipal officials, the Skidegate Band Council, and Haida Nation.
