Northern post-secondary schools are excited to showcase its uniqueness.
Prospective post-secondary students will be impressed by the variety of high-quality education opportunities that are in store for them at four public institutions in Northern BC.
StudyNorthBC.ca is a campaign that focuses on raising awareness of the top quality transferable programs in the north.
The four institutions in the North provide students access to world-class research, graduate, and undergraduate degrees, as well as vocational, trades and technical programs. The campaign showcases the unique recreation options and welcoming, vibrant communities in northern British Columbia.
Melanie Mark, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Training, was joined at the launch event by the presidents of the University of Northern B.C. (UNBC), the College of New Caledonia, Northern Lights College and Northwest Community College.
Ken Burt, the president of Northwest Community College says “Northwest Community College’s focus on experiential, place-based learning creates adventurous pathways that can truly transform the lives of our students. Expanding our student body will bring greater diversity to our programs and vibrancy to our campus life and communities.”
The initial phase of the campaign is expected to run until the end of the year.
