Residents of a First Nation in Vernon have been forced from their homes due to flooding.

The Okanagan Indian Band says 115 homes have been evacuated, including 50 permanent residences and dozens of vacation properties. Officials say water has damaged some basements and crews are assessing the flood zone, including checking to see if any damage has been done to the septic system.
