RCMP say a man drowned while fishing on Yellow Lake, about 20 kilometres southeast of Williams Lake, on Friday.
Police say rescue crews were called to the scene with reports of a small boat being overturned, sending two boaters in the water. Other boaters in the area had noticed the incident and were able to save one of the men, but the other man was found dead.
Police say the man who died was an 82-year-old from Penticton.
