RCMP say a hunter did the right thing when he became separated from his party in the Cariboo this week.
Mounties say the 74 year-old Lower Mainland resident, described as an experienced outdoorsman, hunkered down for the night in the woods in the Spanish Lake area near Likely.
RCMP and Williams Lake Search and Rescue were deployed to the area after the man was reported overdue by his companions Monday night around 6 p.m.
Searchers found the man in good condition at about 10:30 Tuesday morning.
Police say the hunter was found because he stayed in one spot rather than wandering around.
