According to the Passenger Transportation Board, the prospects of finding a replacement for Greyhound’s rural BC routes are looking slim.
Yesterday, the Board launched a plan to fast track applications to replace inter-city bus routes, and have apparently had early interest.
Unfortunately, Board Chair Catherine Read, says that most of that interest has centered around the more densely populated Southern Mainland.
Read says that they’ve already been scouring the north for interested parties, but have not received the interest they had hoped.
Greyhound has already pulled most of its BC routes, but all will end by October.
