Don’t multi-task behind the wheel of your vehicle.
That’s the message from Prince Rupert RCMP after a pedestrian was hit by a truck last week.
Mounties say a 41 year-old woman was in the crosswalk along 2nd Avenue West Thursday morning when she was struck by the vehicle turning at the intersection.
The woman was taken to hospital for treatment.
RCMP reminds drivers to slow down and stay off electronic devices, but police say there are a number of other factors that can lead to distracted driving.
In short, if you’re concentrating on something else, you’re not concentrating on your driving and what’s going on around you which puts at risk for a crash.
