Two people are in hospital after a crash in the Vanderhoof area Tuesday.
RCMP were called out to Kenny Dam Road near the Saik’uz First Nation shortly after 7 p.m. for two pedestrians hit by a vehicle.
Investigators say the male and female had crossed the road to speak with people in a car parked in the middle of the road.
Police say the driver of another vehicle didn’t see the pedestrians because of the lights of the parked car and hit the pair.
Both pedestrians were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries to their lower bodies.
RCMP say the victims were wearing dark clothing and had been drinking at the time they were struck.
The investigation is ongoing.
