Without an adequate number of signatures, an Initiative petition to cancel the controversial Site C Dam has proven unsuccessful.
The petition was issued on July 3rd of this year, with 20 canvassers tasked with collecting signatures over a 90 day period.
According to the Recall and Initiative Act, the petition would have required 10 percent of registered voters in each of BC’s 87 electoral districts in order to be successful.
