A search is underway after a small plane en route from Vancouver to Prince George failed to arrive as expected.
The Carson Air Metro II twin-engine cargo aircraft left Vancouver International Airport at 6:43 this morning, but lost contact with NavCanada’s Kamloops Flight Information Centre at 7:10.
The Vancouver Airport Authority says there were two pilots on board Carson Air Flight 66.
The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Victoria says a Cormorant helicopter has been assigned to cover the flight path of the aircraft.
Emergency crews are also standing by at the Prince George airport.
