Investigators are seeking the publics help to identify the suspect or suspects responsible for the theft of thousands of tonnes of gravel.
In November of last year, the Prince George RCMP began investigating the theft of gravel from the Hungry Quarry located outside of Prince George.
Burnco, the Quarry owner discovered the gate to the property had been breached and noticed a sizeable amount of gravel missing.
After a survey was taken, they found out 8,500 tonnes of gravel were taken which brings the value of stolen property more than 250 thousand dollars.
An extensive investigation has been conducted to date and investigators believe that the culprits may have sold gravel to the general public directly from the quarry.
Police would like to speak to everyone that purchased gravel out of this quarry from anyone other than Burnco in the last 7 years.
