Police will be cracking down on distracted driving and seat belt use in Terrace.
Terrace RCMP say they will be on the look out for people driving while using their cell phone or other devices.
Mounties say distracted driving fines could cost motorists hundreds of dollars and up to 4 demerit points. They also note it could spike insurance rates.
Constable Crystal Evelyn says distracted driving impacts everyone who is on the roads.
According to ICBC, distracted driving contributes to an average of 81 fatal crashes every year in B.C., with 15 happening in the north.
