Police have made significant progress in their investigation in to a fatal hit and run in Terrace from Sunday.
Late yesterday afternoon, RCMP discovered two pick-up trucks on Haida Gwaii, one of which harboured damage consistent with the collision.
Police seized the trucks, the two boats and trailers they were hauling, as well as a third boat trailer as part of the investigation.
After identifying and questioning seven individuals they believe to be linked to the crime, police now believe they have identified the suspect responsible for the incident.
Police are continuing to investigate and are still determining the exact roles of the individuals involved.
Yesterday, RCMP released the identity of the victim as well-known Terrace resident Cameron Kerr.
Tips from the public have been key to advancing the investigation thus far, and police are asking anyone who may still have information to contact Sergeant Shawn McLaughlin at 250 638 7438.
