Knut Bjorndal will be the next mayor of Port Edward.
Bjorndal beat out incumbent Dave MacDonald by just ten votes (113-103). Challenger Doug Larsen picked up 20 votes in his bid for the mayor’s chair.
Returning to council are Dan Franzen, James Brown, and Christine MacKenzie.
Murray Kristoff, who served prior to 2014, was also elected.
