One man is in custody after a weekend assault resulted in a death in Prince George.
Prince George RCMP responded to reports of an assault on Saturday at around 1:40 a.m. near the corner of Oak Street and Porter Avenue.
Police say they found a man and woman with life-threatening injuries. Both were taken to hospital, but the man subsequently died from his injuries while the woman is expected to survive.
A suspect was arrested nearby and the man is currently in custody. Police believe it was a targeted attack due to a disagreement.
Police continue to investigate and ask anyone with information to contact them.
Update: The suspect has been identified as 34-year-old Christopher Clarke Prince of Prince George.
