Two men are facing charges after a break-in at a Girl Guide camp southeast of Prince George.
RCMP were called to a rural area 75 kilometres from the city Wednesday for a report of two suspects who fled the camp with a handgun.
Police blocked the the road after the suspect vehicle refused to stop. Mounties arrested two men without incident.
A search of the vehicle turned up a pellet rifle, pellet handgun, and some evidence of a break-in, but no stolen items.
After several more hours of searching the forest roads in the region, a dog team found about $8000 worth of stolen tools, generators, sporting equipment, and a canoe.
Police also recovered a trailer that was linked back to a cabin that had been broken into.
A 42-year-old man and his 18-year-old son, both from Prince George, were held in custody overnight and expected to appear in court Thursday.
