The Prince George RCMP are asking for the public’s help in catching a vandal.
Since early 2014, the Prince George RCMP have recorded more than 1,200 images of graffiti, with at least 120 directly related to a person who goes by the tag “FAKS.”
Police say the graffiti by “FAKS” has caused at least $100,000 worth of damage.
Investigators are asking anyone with information on the identity of “FAKS” to come forward and provide information to police.
Additionally, the Prince George RCMP are asking people who work at night to keep an eye out for suspicious activity and report them immediately to the police.
Police say “FAKS” is likely to be a male between the age of 15 and 30, and will often use the cover of darkness in the early hours of the morning to help shield him from detection.
He would be out most of the night, has multiple spray cans in a backpack and would most likely have paint on his hands, and would seldom go out to commit these acts alone.
If you have any information, please contact the Prince George RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
