Charges have been approved by Crown Counsel against two Prince George men, suspected to be involved in a string of violent crimes this past fall.
24 year old Ryan Watt and another man were arrested on October 29th by the Prince George RCMP’s Street Crew Unit.
Both men were in a parking lot just off of Highway 16 west of Prince George.
Police found a signficant amount of heroin and cash.
A search warrant was obtained for a residence on Leland Road in the city, where a .22 calibre semi-automatic rifle, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and a significant amount of methamphetamine and cocaine were found.
Watt is facing numerous drug charges as well as a single firearms charge.
The second man was not charged.
Through further investigation, police believe that Watt and Colin Durrand, also 24 years old, are responsible for violent crimes towards people involved in the local drug trade.
These offences are alleged to have occurred in Prince George between August 23rd, 2015 and November 21st, 2015.
Both men are now facing charges of forcible confinement, and pointing a firearm.
