The Prince George RCMP is reporting they have a robbery suspect in custody.
On Tuesday January 19th, at aroound 9:15pm, a liquor store near the corner of 5th Avenue and Carney Street in Prince George was robbed.
The lone male suspect fled on foot, taking a small amount of cash, cigarettes, and beer.
The police were able to identify a suspect, and caught up with him on Wednesday, January 20th at around 4:30pm along the 2300 block of Victoria Street.
The suspect initally fled, but was apprehended in an alley, where he was found to have a large knife, and a small quantity of heroin and meth.
Edward James Penner, an 18 year old who recently relocated to Prince George from the Quesnel area, is facing numerous charges:
· Disguise with Intent
· Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace
· Resist Arrest
· Fail to Comply with Recognizance (3 counts)
· Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)
