The City of Prince Rupert and its unionized municipal employees have reached a new labour agreement.
The four-year deal provides CUPE Local 105 workers with a 2% wage hike each year and replaces the current three-year deal which expires December 31st.
CUPE 105 President Rick Gilker says there’s a little bit for everyone in the agreement. The membership ratified the deal December 5th.
Prince Rupert Mayor Lee Brain says the new pact provides both the city and workers greater financial certainty over the next four years.
